Best Time to Visit Disney

For most people a “best time” can translate differently. Some wish to travel to a Disney location during an off-peak time of the year. Others might want to make sure the water features are within season. Many people are forced to plan Disney vacations around children’s school schedules and holidays. Still others might want to visit during a particular season.

Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida

Visiting Florida in the summertime can be uncomfortable if you are not prepared. The weather is hot and humid and the steamy afternoons often give way to passing thunderstorms. Unfortunately, this is the time that many families must make plans for a Florida Disney vacation because it is in line with summer school vacations. But summertime at Disney also means lots of water rides and water parks. It also can mean a relaxing trip to the beach for a few days.

For truly off-peak travel times to Disney World in Orlando, you might want to consider the fall or mid-winter months. Lines for attractions will be shorter, but the parks are still bustling. Avoid holidays or school breaks.

Disneyland, Anaheim, California

Southern California is beautiful nearly all year long so finding down time at Disneyland can be challenging. However, most United States vacation destinations are a bit slower in the fall and mid-winter.
Tokyo Disney Resort

Japan’s climate can be vastly different from that of either Orlando, Florida or Anaheim, California. For that reason doing some research on traveling to Japan is advised before booking for Tokyo Disneyland. Japan has a hot summer and they also have a rainy season. One of the differences in Tokyo’s Disney Resort is that many of the attractions are covered and protected, unlike their American counterparts.

Disneyland Paris

Paris, too, has a climate that differs from southern California or central Florida. Spring in Paris attracts many tourists, so for an off-peak visit to Disneyland Paris this would not be the time. Another temperate season in Paris is fall. Tourists are generally not as numerous as they are in spring. Summertime is hot and most Europeans go on vacation during this part of the year. Winters are cool and damp, but might be a good time to visit the park for a bargain travel package.

European travel destinations often keep very different hours of operation. Make certain to check ahead of time for operating times and any seasonal differences.
